This role is not about film school theory. It is about understanding pace, hooks, subtitles, and what keeps viewers watching. The ideal candidate has an editor’s eye, understands modern social formats, and can work quickly without sacrificing quality.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Edit short-form vertical videos designed for high retention
• Add subtitles, captions, and text overlays that drive clarity and engagement
• Cut out filler, silence, and dead space to maintain pace
• Apply basic color correction, audio balancing, and noise reduction
• Source and integrate royalty-free music and sound effects when appropriate
• Adjust aspect ratios for different platforms
• Create multiple variations of the same clip for A/B testing
• Organize assets, label files, and maintain a clean project structure
• Collaborate with the attorney to determine messaging and tone
• Deliver finished content on predictable timelines
